Taxis and Women drivers..

i was driving out just now when i came across an accident at the PIE entrance, right outside Simei..

a Taxi and a BMW, with a female driver.. how ironic.. the two types of drivers that i dislike..

no offence to my driving female friends..

hmm.. no.. u should get offended.. and understand why we guys dont like female drivers..

anyway.. the drivers were still in the cars, so i knew that they just got into the accident within seconds just before i passed.. so i stopped at the side to check with the two drivers whether are they injured.. so apparently, they were all fine.. the taxi driver with the passenger, and the girl driving the BMW..

the vehicles were abt 5 metres apart.. so i was thinking.. must be a bad impact to shove the cars away from each other.. i offered assistance, but they said they were ok.. just dazed..

and the girl said.. err.. itz two separate accidents..

wahahha.. i almost laughed xia.. 2 accidents 5 metres apart at the expressway entrance, and both cars were verged right onto the grass patch..

why was it ironic then..

taxi drivers hate to get into accidents.. we all do.. but they have to pay upfront of abt $2000 if they do, and they dont get to drive their vehicles.. and therefore costing them a lot of money and a lot of loss of income.. so they will always try to push the blame to others when that happens.. even if itz clearly their fault.. and other taxi drivers will stop and surround u like vultures even if they dont know the driver that was involved.. they will all say that it ur fault even if they didnt witness the accident..

female learner drivers normally will pass much earlier than their male counterparts.. coz itz obvious that they are more safety conscious and they drive defensively, compared to us males that drive aggressively, and we whack the road without considering safety.. and that is very true..

but majority of drivers are guys mah.. so thatz why we get pissed.. we drive fast.. we have a certain tact to driving.. and if the flow was cut by a female driver whoz driving defensively at 75km/hr on a highway.. thatz freaking irritating.. we brake, slow down, and floor again to gain actual speed.. incurring in more gas being burnt, and more money spent on petrol..

even my mom do that.. jeez.. she drives at 90km/h on the rightmost lane..

thatz the "overtaking" lane.. but then again, since we male drivers all "overtake" all other cars, we keep on driving at that lane at "overtaking" speed..

the same sin is committed by taxi drivers.. since they are on the road most of their lives, they think they own the road.. if u sense that the rightmost lane (lane #1) is slow on non-peak period, without congestion.. 90% of the time itz just a taxi driver who takes his time daydreaming while having his foot on the accelerator..

8% of the time itz a female driver.. who thinks that SHOULD be the way we *ALL* should drive..

2% of the time itz a male P-Plate driver who is in his mid 20s and think that driving at 95km/h is exceeding the speed limit and thus deemed macho.. and by clearing his 3rd month driving, he thinks that he deserves to be called a SpeedDemon by shortshifting his gears..

sorry bro.. it just wont work that way.. u have to be charged in court first for speeding before u get that title.. *ahem*..

on normal roads.. behaviours of taxi drivers and female drivers..

taxi drivers tend to stop at the side of the road to pick up or drop off a passenger with their hazard lights on.. fair enough..

so we will move to the right and overtake them since they are stationary right?

try it..

they will move off before u know it.. without even considering the fact that therez another vehicle passing them by.. they'll move off and expect u to brake and go back behind them coz they owned the road.. even if u had overtook them almost fully..

what is wrong with just checking the traffic before u move off?

and it happens EVERYDAY that i drive.. without fail..

bus drivers are nicer.. most of the time.. coz they know that a single complain to the bus company can be disastrous.. so they are always bullied coz they are big and dumb looking..

and female drivers.. i have yet to see a female driver who put up their hand to wave THANKS.. they think that just coz they are females, we have to let them pass thru first.. that itz their right to move before us.. even if they dont have the right of way..

or issit that they are still stuck to the idea that u have to have both hands on the wheel so u cant raise ur hand to wave THANKS?

i'm not chauvinistic.. never had been, never will be.. but these are true facts of driving.. and if u girls are wondering why we always talk abt female drivers, think.. and u'll know..

and i do have a female friend who can drive very well and blend in the traffic, and she knows her car like most girls know their makeup kits.. and she's a stewardess, driving a Rex STI.

if u wanna drive at 90km/hr, stick to the centre lane.. no one is gonna tailgate u..

if u wanna drive at 80km/hr, drive at the leftmost lane.. and use the centre lane to overtake the lorries and vans..

leave the overtaking lane to the overtakers..
