Deng Deng

well.. i just got back from Brisbane.. was called up for that flight.. and since itz a week since my last post.. lemme try to update on what i have done..

not much basically..

came back from Zurich on Saturday.. and jammed with the Pirates at Yishun.. damn.. it had been too long since the last jamming session.. doesnt matter that we sucked that day.. but we had fun playing and thatz it.. tried out a new riff from Yazid.. and after that, we broke our fast there.. or rather.. they did.. i wasnt fasting coz i just got back from Zurich and it was impossible to fast coz we were going thru daylight..

after that, went down to Northpoint and got myself a Canon IXUS digicam from Harvey Norman, and a DVD player + woofer for my dad.. and i love the look on his face when he saw it..

that night, went to Geylang bazaar.. again.. with Hamdy and Din and my mom.. and Din is addicted to deng deng.. damn.. i had never gotten myself to even touch that stuff.. dunno why.. yucks.. reminds me of the pork deng deng in Peranakan Place.. the smell.. hmm..

on Sunday, went down to Funan with Din and Hamdy.. had a haircut.. and went home.. thatz it..

cant remember what i did on Monday..

was activated for Brisbane on Tuesday.. was an easy flight up and down.. and chill out with Veronica-Mat-Rock and Ganesh, and Jehan, and surprisingly, met Iris at the lobby.. so we slacked for a few hours in my room till abt 4am when i got hungry and went out for pancakes..

got back this afternoon, and went for breaking of fast with my parents at Simpang Bedok.. and the surprise of the day.. came across my ex-gf 10 yrz back, shireen.. now married with 2 kids..

will be meeting my Bro and Sis and the kids on Sunday in Sydney.. yeyyyyyyyyyyy.. cant wait.. will be taking loads of pics then..

*sigh*

i'm so so sleepy.. i think i'll head down to bed now..

here i am.. blogging from Zurich.. in the crew room now..

anyway.. my niece was supposed to be meeting her friend but she had a change of plans.. so since i had gotten for her some presents for her birthday.. i told her to come along to break fast with us..

there were supposed to be 4 of us breaking fast together, but ended up having 11.. as usual.. one called the other and the other and the other...

after breaking fast at hawa restaurant, we went over to the bazaar to walk around.. spent abt 45 mins before we were tired out and decided to meet up with meraj and putra and tommy at el sheikh for sheesha.. but i had to send my niece home in jurong first..

in the car, i gave her what i got for her.. and her face lighted up.. and it was nice seeing that it was so appreciated..

and so she smsed me that nite.. giving me sweet messages.. she said that the gifts were the 2nd perfect present.. and the most perfect present for her was to have me as an uncle.. awwwww... such a sweet sweet niece..

anyway.. we didnt end up at el sheikh.. but me, hamdy, din and yazid met up with meraj and putra at alif in bt gombak.. hang out for a while and went off to the airport to fetch my mom who was flying back from melbourne..

after fetching my mom, my band guys came down to my place and slacked and played guitar and wrote some tunes till sahur.. and smoked sheesha thru the nite..

the next day, accompanied my mom to run some errands and off to bazaar again with my cousin and her daughter..

had to rush to the airport the next day coz i misread my roster on my flight reporting time.. and almost didnt make it in time.. i checked in right on the minute and had to check in my bag after the briefing..

here i am.. the last nite in zurich..

spent the past few days slacking at the mall and smoking sheesha in the evening at the egyptian restaurant next door..

must go now.. will be flying back tomorrow morning.. zurich was ok.. as boring as usual..

Hey Mickey You're So Fine..

i'm backkk... yeah... how exciting..

had 3 smses thru the week.. 2 from Mom, 3 from M1. eh.. make it 4.. one from Kotai.. wow.. shows how much i had been missed... lol.. but itz ok.. i prefer it this way..

anyway.. the flight turned out to be wonderfully wonderful.. hanged out in Taipei with the other GS, Rodney.. and the chief, John, and the 3 stewardesses, Miske, Celeste and Cindy.. from then on, we clicked..

anyway, i had known Rodney for years already..

when we arrived in Los Angeles, we chilled in Rodney's room till abt 3am.. and woke up at 6.30am to go to Disneyland.. rented a car and i was trying hard to stay awake while driving up to Anaheim, and thru the day, and while driving back to the hotel at nite.. i was in a zombieland thru the day in Disneyland..

had fun.. and since i was with a group of girls.. (Cindy, Celeste, Miske and Joanna), had to give in to do things that they would rather do..

actually.. most of the girls didnt know what to do coz it was their first time there.. and i had been to almost every rides in Disneyland.. so we basically did what Joanna wanna do.. whatever lah.. doesnt matter anyway.. just that the stewpid It's A Small World song still haunts me..

the next day.. went down to Farmers's Market, and got myself an Abercrombie t-shirt.. and went on to beverly centre.. where i met my ex team leadings.. Brandon, and Siti, whoz now a chief.. i got a present for my niece, Nazira.. a way belated birthday gift.

went back to the hotel and slept for a short while before flying back to Taipei..

arrived in the morning.. so we slept for a few hours till someone called for lunch..

after the karaoke.. wanted to go to Mint at Taipei 101, but the entrance was so expensive that it was ridiculuous.. and ended up going to New York New York and clubbed till 4 instead..

and right after that.. went down to Rodney's room and we played hide and seek in the room.. and this time, unlike the last session several years back in Mauritius.. we didnt break anything.. not a coffee table nor anyone's fingers.. so it was good.. but tiring like hell..

after playing hide and seek, Celeste and Miske ended up sleeping in Rodney's room, with Rodney out to meet a friend, Cindy went back to her room and i went back to mine.. i cant sleep with too many ppl in the room. actually.. i cant sleep if therez someone next to me.. and my lenses were too dry.. so i went back and had a good rest..

in the afternoon, went down to Taipei 101 foodcourt for lunch with the gang and to the night market.. and true to what Rodney said.. the fried chicken was nice.. though i am not a chicken fan..

here i am.. back home in Singapore.. and as soon as i got back, had to send mom and the 4 kids to the airport coz they were going back to Melbourne.. i can meet them anytime i wish, but i feel sad for dad. he cried and i can see that it was hard for him to let them go.. but.. sigh..

ah.. i'm in my hotel room in Taipei now.. nice that this hotel gives free internet access.. finally..

anyway.. spent my off days with family.. mom, dad and the 4 boys.. my 4 little nephews.. went over to johore on saturday and came back on sunday nite..

and damn funny.. all 4 of them had their circumcision done a few days back.. and i cant help laughing at the way they walk, crouching down, and pulling their pants in front so as not to rub against their tweety birds..

i watched when the doctor took the clips off the tweeties.. though it was hard for me to watch how they had to squirm and cry in pain when it happened.. damn.. if only i could do something to take away the pain..

my 16 yr old niece msged me on Sat saying that she is stressed and depressed and asked me to send her to the beach on sunday.. and so i did.. i drove back on sunday morning, and sent her to the beach.. left her alone for her to have a peace of mind.. and drove back to johore after that.. but i called yazid along coz he wanted to get some stuffs as a damage replacement for the bike he hit a few days ago..

so i was with yazid and my nephews and some kids from the kampung there in johore and spent the evening playing marbles.. damn.. i had even forgotten the rules of the game..

anyway, i'm on flight now.. nice room number.. 1234.. looking forward for a nice week after going through a nice week in dubai and cairo. some of the crew are planning to go off to disneyland.. so that might be just what i'ld do in los angeles.. reminds me of when i spent a week there several years back.. disneyland, knotts berry farm, disney california adventure park.. i miss disneyland..

and the promise to the kids that i'm gonna bring them to disneyland next year.. but to spend on the 4 of them.. i might head down to disneyland in hong kong.. and the kids are excited abt it..

itz 10 mins to 6am now. fasting month starts tomorrow.. roster is out now.. and i'll be spending my hari raya in seoul.
